A brief introduction on Islamic Medical Symposium
“Dublin Symposium 2008 will be the fifth symposium following the four successful symposiums in Dublin Hilton Hotel (2004), Manchester Royal Infirmary Center (2005, 2007) and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (2006). The symposiums have maintained a good rapport with Malaysia government and officiated by Malaysia notable figures such as Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Hj. Mohd. Ismail bin Merican.Realizing the importance of producing competent, innovative and diplomatic medical graduates, this coming symposium will highlight “Preparing For The Future, Today” as the theme. It combines various constructive and motivational elements such as academics, practical, communication, leadership and voluntary work which blend the Islamic values in order to foster human capital in this valuable asset of the nation.
This is parallel to the country mission which is to generate professionals which are accomplished and capable of contributing not only in local community but globally.
This international event is expected to be participated by 250 medical students and practicing doctors from Malaysia, Ireland, United Kingdom, Russia and Czech Republic. 10 local and international speakers will be taking part in this symposium. We hope that the participants will realize their significant role as the future Muslim professionals thus getting a correct paradigm and not just play their role as an ordinary professionals but beyond than that.”
